The Simplicity L1226E Snow Blower is a step up from other snowblowers that Simplicity produce, such as the Simplicity I924E Snow Blower or even the Simplicity I1224E Snow Blower. It is a dual stage snow blower powered by a Briggs and Stratton professional series engine that gives this machine 11.5 ft-lbs of torque. This 4 stroke engine can be started by plugging it in to the mains electricity and simply pressing the electric starter button. Or if you are not near any plug sockets, it can be started using a pull cord, recoil system.

The Simplicity L1226E snow thrower powers it’s wheels through a friction disc drive transmission that gives the snow blower 6 gears going forward and 2 when it’s reversing. It uses tires that have an Artic Trac thread to give it substantially better grip when traveling over slippery surfaces when compared to other tires. These tires have a width of 0.12 m (4.8 inches) and a diameter of 0.41 m (16 inches). Thankfully a clearing out stick is included with the L1226E snowblower to quickly release any blockages.

The clearing width of the Simplicity L1226E dual stage snow blower is 0.66 m (26 inches) while it has a clearing height of 0.5 m (19.75 inches). The snow enters the housing of the L1226E and is first met by the auger which has a diameter of 0.36 m (14 inches). This auger quickly and efficiently chops up the snow and forces it towards the impeller at the center of the housing. The impeller consists of 3 blades and has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches). At the bottom of the steel housing are reversible skid shoes that prevent this snow blower from damaging the surface it’s cleaning or leaving any serious marks. The fuel capacity of the L1226E’s gas tank is 2.84 liters (0.75 US gallons).
