Massey Ferguson 2524H
The Massey Ferguson 2524H tractor lawnmower is from the Massey Ferguson 2500 series of garden tractor lawnmowers. In this series you will also find 3 others tractor mowers that are slightly smaller in size and less powerful. These are the Massey Ferguson 2522H, the Massey Ferguson 2520H and the Massey Ferguson 2518H lawn mowers. But this is a review about the MF2524H so let’s concentrate on that. The MF2524H uses an overhead valve Briggs and Stratton engine that provides the machine with 24 hp. This 2 cylinder engine gets it’s fuel from a gas tank that can hold up to 13.2 liters (3.5 US gallons).
Power from the engine on the Massey Ferguson 2524H is passed to the wheels through a K-46HD transmission which makes the lawn mower an automatic with no need for gear changing. This hydrostatic gearbox gives the garden tractor a top speed of 8.9 kph (5.5 mph) when it’s traveling ahead, while in reverse it can hit a top speed of 4.8 kph (3 mph). This engine also powers the mower deck on the mower which has a cutting width of 50 inches.
The Massey Ferguson 2524H is built upon a 2WD chassis that has been constructed from 12 gauge steel. This chassis gives the MF2524 H a minimum turning radius of just 14 inches which makes it incredibly nimble in gardens that have many tight turns and difficult to reach areas. The total length of the machine is 1.8 m (71 inches) while it has a wheelbase of 1.27 m (50 inches). Without the mower deck attached it has a width of 0.94 m (37 inches). There are a number of implements that you can use with this tractor mower that include single and dual stage snow blowers as well as utility carts and others which greatly increase it’s usefulness. Make sure to leave a review of the lawnmower below outlining both what you like and dislike about it.
