The John Deere 5093EN tractor is a part of the the 5EN series of narrow tractors which have been specifically designed to fit in to gaps and areas that aren’t that very wide. This is why they’re often seen in orchards, vineyards and other horticultural areas. This tractor is very similar in a lot of ways to the John Deere 5093E tractor as both machines have the same engine as well as being similar on a lot of other fronts. However this review is going to be covering the JD 5093EN only. It’s engine is a 93 hp turbocharged diesel PowerTech engine. It has a displacement of 4.5 liters. The engine is prevented from getting too hot thanks to a liquid cooling system. It also filters the air intake through a dry type air filter.

The John Deere 5093EN narrow series tractor then transfers power from the engine to the wheels by first passing it through one of 2 gearboxes. The standard gearbox gives the JD 5093EN 12 speeds going forward and 12 in reverse also. The optional gearbox will give the tractor 24 speeds going forward and 24 in reverse too. Both are PowrReverser transmissions. The engine also powers the hydraulic system. The hydraulics system gives the category 1 hitch (can be optionally changed to category 2 hitch) a maximum safe lifting capacity of 1530 kg (3374 lbs) which is enough to accommodate a massive range of different implements and attachements.

The weight of the John Deere 5093EN varies. There is both a 2WD and MFWD version available. The 2WD version with an open operator station weighs in at 2487 kg (5483 lbs) while the 2WD version with an operator cab weighs 2550 kg (5622 lbs). The MFWD version with the open operator station weighs 2560 kg (5645 lbs) and the MFWD version with a cab weighs in at 2624 (5784 lbs).
