John Deere 3005
The John Deere 3005 compact utility tractor is powered by a diesel Yanmar engine. This engine produces 27.5 hp to power the wheels as well as the hydraulics and PTO (power take off) systems. This engine is a 3 cylinder model that has a total size of 1.3 liters. The engine has natural aspiration and is kept lubricated using a pressurized oil system that has a capacity to hold up to 4.1 liters of oil. The engine also uses a liquid cooling system to prevent it from overheating. This system has a capacity to hold up to 4.7 liters of coolant.
The John Deere 3005 is the smallest model in the 3000 series of compact utility tractors from JD. If you are looking for something that’s a little bigger and more powerful, then you might be interested in checking out the John Deere 3032E or the John Deere 3038E compact utility tractors. On JD 3005, power is transferred from the engine to the wheels via a sliding gear transmission that gives the tractor 8 gears when traveling forwards and 2 for reversing. The top speed of the JD 3005 is 20.4 kph (12.7 mph).
Located at the rear of the John Deere 3005 is a category 1, 3 point hitch that has a maximum safe capacity of 370 kg (815 lbs). This hitch allows the operator to attach a range of useful implements to the back of the machine, from rear mounted mower decks, to scrapers, scarifiers, box blades and obviously utility carts. It also has the ability to accommodate a whole host of other attachments. You can attach a number of mid mounted mower decks that have cutting widths ranging from 54 inches to 72 inches. During the winter, it is also highly useful, due to the fact that you can add a range of snow clearing equipment to it. This includes a John Deere 47″ Snow Blower, a John Deere 54 Inch Front Blade and a John Deere 54″ Snowblower as well as a larger John Deere 59″ Snow Blower allowing it to handle practically any depth and size of snow drift.
