The Husqvarna EZ6124 zero turn lawn mower is powered by a Courage engine from Kohler. This engine is a twin cylinder model. The engine uses a standard type air filter to clean the air intake and prevent dust and other particles from getting into the combustion chambers. The engine gets it’s fuel from a fuel tank that can hold up to 20.1 liters (5 US gallons). This large fuel capacity along with the large 61 inch wide cutting deck indicates that the the EZ lawn mower is a mainly commercial machine.

The 61 inch mower deck on the Husqvarna EZ6124 houses 3 blades, each of which has a width of 20.5 inches. These blades are far more efficient that if the deck had just one large 61 inch blade. The 3 blades are housed inside an 11 gauge fabricated steel deck. This deck is belt driven. To stop the front of the deck from accidentally catching the ground in front of it and possibly leaving ugly scars, there are 2 small plastic anti scalping wheels attached to it. The deck can cut grass as low as 1.5 inches above the ground. It can also be raised up to 3 inches to a height of 4.5 inches above the ground if you are cutting particularly thick or long grass.

The top speed of the Husqvarna EZ6124 is an impressive 11.3 kph (7 mph) going forwards, while in reverse it can hit 6.4 kph (4 mph). The rear wheels which power the EZ6124 lawnmower are powered thanks to a ZT 2800 dual hydrostatic transmission. This allows the operator to efficiently control each rear wheel independent of the other. Each rear wheel measures 20×9.5-8 (20 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter).
