The Husqvarna BZ7234 zero turn lawn mower is pretty much the biggest, baddest machine that you can get from the guys at Husqvarna. This lawn mower will never be in the possession of individual homeowners. Instead you will mostly find it being used by commercial landscaping crews. The main reason is obvious, the price. But there are also a ton of other reasons too. The mower deck on the BZ 7234 has a cutting width of 72 inches and the engine produces 34 hp, completely inefficient for a homeowner.

If you buy the Husqvarna BZ7234 brand new, then it comes with either a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard diesel engine or Daihatsu diesel engine, both of which supply 34 hp. These engines both draw fuel from a set of twin fuel tanks that can hold a combined 44 liters (11.4 US gallons) of diesel. The engine transfers power to the 3 blades in the mower deck through a belt drive system. This mower deck has a large operating range. It can work as low as 1.5 inches above the ground and as high as 6 inches above the ground (a total operating range of 4.5 inches). The mower deck discharges grass clippings out the side of the deck as standard. There are a total of 6 small anti scalping wheels attached to the mower deck that work to keep it constantly raised above the ground.

As the Husqvarna BZ7234 is mostly used by commercial contractors, it thankfully has a digital hourmeter so that you can accurately gauge when you need to service it. The wheels get power from the engine through a dual hydrostatic transmission from Hydro-Gear. This allows the BZ 7234 to achieve a top speed of 17.7 kph (11.5 mph) going forwards, while in reverse it has a max speed of 8 kph (5 mph). The most similar (but less powerful) machine to this one is the Husqvarna BZ6127.
