Husqvarna 1830SB Snow Blower
The Husqvarna 1830SB Snow Blower may seem very similar to the Husqvarna 1830HV Snow Blower, as they have the same clearing widths, but there are also some differences. The 1830 SB dual stage snow blower is also powered by an LCT, 2 stroke engine. This is the same engine that powers the Husqvarna 1830HV Snow Blower and it has a displacement of 0.41 liters. The engine can be started using the mains electricity by simply pressing a button to start it and plugging it in. However if you are not close to a plug or the mains electricity, there is also a pull cord, recoil system that you can use to start it.
While the clearing width of the Husqvarna 1830SB snowblower is 0.76 m (30 inches) it has a clearing height of 0.58 m (23 inches). Snow entering the clearing area, is first met by the serrated steel auger that has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches). This auger first breaks up the snow into smaller chunks before sending it towards the impeller located at the center of the housing. The impeller is also made of steel and consists of 3 blades. It further chops up the snow while at the same time forcing through the chute and away from the clearing area at high speeds.
The chute on the Husqvarna 1830SB snow blower is constructed from steel and is powder coated to help prevent blockages. It is controlled remotely from the operator’s station and can turn through 200 degrees. The deflector at the top of the chute allows the operator greater control over where he is aiming the snow. Thanks to the fact that the 1830SB is a dual stage snow thrower, it is capable of sending snow up to 10.7 m (35 feet) away from where it is picked up.
