Cub Cadet ZTT50

The Cub Cadet ZTT50 lawn mower is a fantastic piece of equipment that will help you to quickly and efficiently cut your lawn. If you are wondering what the ZTT stands for, it means Zero Turn Tractor. This is because the ZTT 50 is capable of turning on a dime. In other words is has a zero turning radius. The engine that powers this machine is a V twin cylinder Courage, that is built by the team at Kohler. This engine pumps out 25 hp to drive the lawnmower forward as well as spin the blades on the mower deck.

The mower deck itself has a cutting width of 50 inches, although it’s total width is actually a lot higher than this due to the discharge flap located on the side. The mower deck on the ZTT 50 can be lowered to as low as 1.25 inches above the ground and raised to as high as 3.75 inches above the ground. This is done in 0.5 inch increments so that you always can choose a suitable height to cut at. The mower deck on the Cub Cadet ZTT50 uses a system of 3 blades instead of 1 big one to give a much more even and smooth cut.

A similar but smaller model of the Cub Cadet ZTT50 is the Cub Cadet ZTT42. The only real differences between this model and the ZTT 50 is the size of the engine and mower deck. Other than that, they are pretty much exactly the same. There are a number of optional attachments that enhance the usability of the Cub Cadet ZTT50 Zero Turn Tractor Lawnmower, which makes it much more than just another lawnmower. While there is an optional bagger for collecting grass clippings, there are also others like a 42 inch, dual stage snowblower, a front blade, utility carts and sprayers. If you are looking for larger zero turn mowers, then have a look at the Cub Cadet Z-Force S54 Zero Turn Rider lawn mower.

Overall I am well pleased with this product.

    Year of Manufacture: 2011
Pros: I did the research and sure enough I could spend more money on some other machines. But why do that? The Cub I had was 5 years old and did not have the zero turn feature, but was very reliable so I decided to buy another Cub. I mow almost an acre of grass and this unit really does a good job. At fist I was a bit sceptical about a zero turn with a steering wheel, but not any more!. This mower has the power to get the job done quickly. If you are looking for a dependable, solid built mower give this one a try. Would definately reccomend this unit.
Cons: I have used the ZTT 50 twice this summer, so no cons yet.
