The Cub Cadet Z-Force S60LP Zero Turn Rider lawn mower is similar to the Cub Cadet Z-Force S48LP lawn mower as it is also powered by liquid propane gas. The engine which burns this LP gas is a 2 cylinder Kawasaki with a displacement of 0.726 liters. This LP gas powered engine powers both the wheels and the mower deck. The Z Force S 60 LP is an automatic thanks to it’s Dual Hydro Gear ZT 2800 transmission that powers each rear wheel independently. It’s this ability to direct power to each wheel that enables Cub Cadet’s Synchro Steer technology to execute zero radius turns. This is because the steering wheel actually controls where power is directed. So when the operator locks the wheel to turn right, the right rear wheel remains practically stationary while the left rear wheel keeps spinning to turn the machine on a dime.

The Cub Cadet Z-Force S60LP lawnmower comes with a mower deck that has a 60 inch cutting width. So the Z Force S 60 LP is very maneuverable in tight spaces. But buying it for cutting grass in small gardens is not a good idea, as it will simply use too much fuel and cheaper models are just as capable. Instead, this machine is much more suited to very large areas such as playing fields, parks and very large gardens. This is further evidenced by the fact that it has a top speed of 12.9 kph (8 mph) going forwards, a speed that won’t be realized in small gardens.

The mower deck on the Cub Cadet Z-Force S60LP Zero Turn Rider mower is constructed from 11 gauge steel that won’t easily break or deflect even when it hits solid objects in it’s path. It’s consists of 3 blades and can be raised from 1 inch above the ground to 5 inches above the ground in small increments.
