Cub Cadet Tank M54-KH
The Cub Cadet Tank M54-KH zero turn lawnmower is a good bit bigger and more powerful than the Cub Cadet Tank L48 zero turn lawn mower, but it doesn’t have a cutting width as large as the Cub Cadet Tank L60. The M54KH gets it’s power from a Command engine that is designed and built by Kohler. This is a gasoline twin cylinder model that is air cooled. It uses a full pressure lubrication system to make sure that everything remains working well and without excessive friction. The lubrication system comes with an oil filter. The total displacement of the engine is 0.725 liters and it is key started using a 12 volt battery that gets recharged via a 20 amp alternator once the engine is up and running.
There is twin fuel tanks on the Cub Cadet Tank M54-KH zero turn lawn mower. This gives it the ability to hold up to 53 liters (14 US gallons) of gasoline. This massive fuel capacity is a strong indicator that the M54KH is intended to be used mostly by gardening professional who do not want to have to worry about constantly refilling the fuel tank.
The engine powers the rear wheels through a system of Parker wheel motors and dual Hydro-Gear pumps. These allows the operator to control the mower without having to worry about changing gears.
