Cub Cadet H1952
The Cub Cadet H1952 self propelled lawn mower is the largest, most powerful walk behind mower in the Wide-Area Hydrostatic series of self propelled lawn mowers from Cub Cadet. The H 1952 has a massive 52 inch mower deck. This deck has 3 large blades housed inside it. The deck is made from fabricated 10 gauge steel and also has a large plastic discharge chute attached to the right side of the mower deck which adds over 10 inches to the total width of the machine. The blades on the mower deck are driven via a Kevlar based belt. The deck operates over a range of 2 inches from a high of 4 inches above the ground down to a low of 2 inches above the ground.
You will notice that there is a large nose roller on the front of the deck on the Cub Cadet H1952. This nose roller helps to prevent the fixed mower deck from accidentally catching the ground and scraping/scarring it as it travels over it. The engine powering the mower deck has a max power output of 19 hp. The engine powering the H 1952 is a twin cylinder from Kawasaki with overhead valves and uses a full pressure lubrication system to prevent it from seizing up or wearing too quickly.
The engine powers the rear wheels on the Cub Cadet H1952 through a dual hydrostatic transmission system from Hydro-Gear using Parker wheel motors. This system gives the self propelled lawn mower a very high top speed of 11.3 kph (7 mph), which will have the operator practically jogging just to keep up with it. The operator controls on the H 1952 are on a set of dual pistol grip handles that are very easy on the hands. The other 2 models in the Wide Area Hydrostatic series that are not quite as large and powerful are the Cub Cadet H1536 and the Cub Cadet H1748 lawn mowers.
