Massey Ferguson 2520H
The Massey Ferguson 2520H garden tractor lawn mower is part of the Massey Ferguson 2500 series of garden tractors. This series comprises of the less powerful garden tractors from MF. The other 3 machines in this series are the Massey Ferguson 2518H, the Massey Ferguson 2524H and the Massey Ferguson 2522H tractor mowers. If you are looking for something with a lot more power, then you may find the Massey Ferguson 2927H to be more to your tastes. The engine that powers the MF2520H is a 2 cylinder model built by Briggs and Stratton. This engine features overhead valves and has an output of 20 hp. Power from the engine gets to the wheels by first being passed through a K-46 hydrostatic transmission.
This transmission makes the Massey Ferguson 2520H an automatic, making it very little work to operate. Other cool features of this mower are the fact that it has such a small minimum turning radius of just 14 inches. It also has low effort steering so if you do find yourself operating this machine for extended periods, your arms won’t tire too quickly. Without the mower deck the MF 2520 H has a width of 37 inches. However, once the mower deck is attached, this increases to 50 inches, even though the total cutting width of the mowing deck is 38 inches. The extra 12 inches is mostly due to the plastic discharge chute protruding out the side of the deck.
The mower deck on the Massey Ferguson 2520H uses MF’s free floating deck technology which helps the deck to hug the contours of the ground you are traveling over. This will help you to reduce the likelihood of the deck scraping the lawn as you travel over it. The weight of the MF 2520 H comes to 235.9 kg (520 lbs) when the mower deck is not attached.
