Toro Titan Z4800K
The Toro Titan Z4800K is almost identical to the Toro Titan Z4800 zero turn lawnmower, except for the fact that the Z 4800K has a more powerful engine. This is a Courage PRO model from Kohler that has a power output of 23 hp. The engine is a twin cylinder model with cast iron cylinder liners that help to give the engine a longer life. The engine has a total displacement of 0.725 liters. It gets it’s fuel from gas tank that can hold up to 15.1 liters (4 US gallons).
Power from the Kohler engine on the Toro Titan Z4800K is transferred to the wheels through a dual hydrostatic system that uses Hydro-Gear drives and Charge pumps. This allows the Z 4800K lawnmower to speed up to 11.3 kph (7 mph). The operator controls the speed of the lawnmower through the ‘Dual Comfort Grip’ levers. By pushing the levers in opposite directions, you can execute zero radius turns. The dual levers feature hydraulic dampers which means that you’ll never have to wrestle with them to maintain control of the mower. The Dual Comfort Grip levers control the rear wheels. These are fairly large and have a turf thread, measuring 20×9 (20 inch diameter, 9 inch width), while the front wheels are smaller and bald, measuring 10×4 (10 inch diameter, 4 inch width).
The mower deck on the Toro Titan Z4800K zero turn mower is 48 inches wide. It’s built from welded 10 gauge steel and is similar to the mowing decks on a lot of other Toro lawnmowers in that it can be raised and lowered through 3 inches, from 1.5 to 4.5 inches. The mower deck has the option of using a mulching kit. However if you are someone who insists of having a ultra neat lawn, then you’ll be glad that you can also purchase an optional rear bagger to collect the grass clippings.
