Toro Titan MX4880
The Toro Titan MX4880 lawn mower is one of the smaller zero turn mowers in the Titan range. It is very similar to the Toro Titan ZX4820 lawnmower in a lot of regards, but it is a bit smaller than the Toro Titan ZX5020 zero turn mower. The MX 4880 is well suited to any garden that is from 2-5 acres in size. If it’s any smaller, then you should consider using a smaller lawnmower. One of the best things about this machine though is the fact that it’s just so maneuverable and easy to use in confined spaces. This is mainly due to the fact that it’s got a zero turning radius.
The main reason that the Toro Titan MX4880 has a zero turning radius is thanks to it’s Hydro Gear ZT3100 transmission. This dual hydrostatic transmission allows the operator to control the speed of each rear wheel independently. As such, the MX 4880 can turn on a dime and easily navigate even the most oddly shaped gardens. The wheels on the MX 4880 are powered by a 4 stroke, Kawasaki engine that has an output of 22 hp.
The mower deck on the Toro Titan MX4880 zero turn lawnmower has a cutting width of 48 inches. The deck itself is constructed from strong 10 gauge steel. This mower deck has a number of built in features that help to give you a fantastic cut to your grass. The most important is the fact that it uses 3 smaller blades instead of just one large one. But there are other features, such as the small plastic wheels at the front of the mower deck that prevent it from scratching the surface that it’s traveling over. With the addition of a number of attachments such as a mulching kit as well as a bagger attachment, this lawnmower is a highly regarded one.
