Toro TimeCutter Z4200
The Toro TimeCutter Z4200 zero turn lawnmower is not quite as big or as powerful as the likes of the Toro TimeCutter Z5035 or Toro TimeCutter Z5060 lawn mowers. The engine powering the Time Cutter Z 4200 is a Courage model from Kohler. This engine is key started using a 12 volt battery. This single cylinder, 4 stroke engine has a displacement of 0.597 liters. The engine comes with an oil filter and has a 3 year limited warranty for those purchasing it for personal residential use. The maximum power output from the engine is 19 hp.
This engine on the Toro TimeCutter Z4200 zero turn lawn mower powers the wheels through a dual hydrostatic transmission which allows the driver to control each rear wheel independently with the lap bars. This independent control is what allows you to make zero radius turns on the lawn mower. The dual hydrostatic transmission gives the Time Cutter Z4200 a top speed of 11.3 kph (7 mph) going forwards and a max speed of 5.5 kph (3.4 mph) when reversing. As the rear wheels are carrying most of the weight of the lawnmower as well as powering it forwards and steering it, they are far bigger, measuring 18×7.5 (18 inch diameter, 7.5 inch width). The front wheels are far smaller in comparison, measuring 11×4 (11 inch diameter, 4 inch width).
The mower deck on the Toro TimeCutter Z4200 lawn mower has a cutting width of 42 inches and discharges the grass clippings out the side of the mower deck. If you don’t want to just discharge the clippings out the side of the deck, you can instead use a Recycler mulching kit or twin bagger attachment that can hold up to 8 cubic feet of grass clippings. The mower on the Toro Z4200 houses 2 blades inside the stamped steel mowing deck. The seat on this zero turn lawnmower features a high back.
