The Toro GT2300 garden tractor lawn mower is the most powerful machine in the Toro GT2000 series of lawn tractors. The engine powering it is enormous when compared to practically every other lawn tractor from every other brand. It’s a Kohler Courage model. This twin cylinder gasoline engine is an OHV model and uses a fully pressurized lubrication system to keep the engine running smoothly without wearing excessively or seizing up. The engine has a massive power output of 26 hp. The engine is keystarted using a 12 volt battery. Power from the engine is transferred to the wheels thanks to a Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission. This transmission gives the GT 2300 a top speed of 10.3 kph (6.4 mph) going forwards, while when it’s reversing, it’s top speed comes in at 4 kph (2.5 mph).

The Toro GT2300 lawn mower comes with KeyChoice technology which forces the operator to choose whether or not he/she wants to operate the mower deck when it’s reversing for safety. The front tires on the GT 2300 each measure 16×6.5 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width). The rear wheels are a lot bigger, each measuring 23×9.5 (23 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width). There are a number of mower decks that are compatible with this lawnmower, the biggest of which has a cutting width of 54 inches and houses 3 blades. Even though the Toro GT 2300 is such a huge tractor mower, it still has a fairly reasonable minimum turning radius of just 21 inches. As well as being a fantastic large lawnmower, you can also use it during the winter with a 42 inch snow blower or a 46 snow blade to clear snow.
