The Toro 74951 G3 commercial series lawn mower is the smallest model in the G3 Commercial Series. It is powered by a Kawasaki FH 580 V gas engine. This V twin cylinder engine has a pressurized lubrication system to ensure that the working parts are thoroughly oiled, even during times of heavy operation. This engine then transfers power to the wheels using a dual hydrostatic transmission that allows you to control the amount of power that each rear wheel receives independently. 2 lap bars are used to control both the speed and direction of the Toro 74951 zero turn mower.

The mower deck on the Toro 74951 G3 commercial series zero turn lawnmower is a ‘Turbo Force’ deck. This mower deck has been specifically designed for commercial mowers that see a huge amount of work. The ‘Turbo Force’ mower deck is built from extra strong 7 gauge steel and also have an extra piece of steel on the leading edge called a bull-nose, this acts to absorb the impact of any objects it happens to hit while it’s being operated. The mower deck also has a number of small plastic wheels that prevent the deck housing from scratching or scalping the surface of the grass.  The blades on the Toro 74951 are 0.25 inches thick and have been heat treated so that their cutting edges remain sharper when compared to blades that have not been heat treated.

The gas tank on the Toro 74951 G3 commercial series lawnmower can hold up to 30.3 liters (8 US gallons) of gas which allow for  very long continuous operation before it needs to be refilled.
