The Simplicity ZT3000 zero turn lawnmower is not quite as powerful as the Simplicity ZT2000 or the Simplicity Champion lawnmowers, but it’s still a quality piece of machinery that will quickly take care of most lawns. There is a choice of mower decks on this lawnmower. One choice is a deck with a 46 inch cutting width, while there is also a deck with a cutting width of 50 inches. Both of these choice has 3 blades housed within the mower deck. These mower decks can be adjusted in 0.5 inch increments from a low of 1.5 inches above the ground to 4.5 inches above the ground. Unlike a lot of other Simplicity models this is done manually.

The mower decks on the Simplicity ZT3000 use Simplicity’s Free Floating technology which allow the deck to move and thus follow the contours of the ground it’s traveling over giving a much smoother and even cut. There are anti scalping wheels located on the front of the mower deck which prevent it from catching the lawn in front of it and potentially scraping it. It also has rollers at the back of the mower deck.

The mower deck on the Simplicity ZT3000 zero turn lawnmower are powered by a Briggs & Stratton Extended Life Series engine that provides 24 hp in power output. This engine is keystarted by a 12 volt battery that gives the engine 340 cold cranking amps. The engine transfers power to the wheels through a Hydro-Gear ZT 2800 dual hydrostatic transmission that allows the operator to control each rear wheel independent of the other. This transmission system gives the ZT 3000 a top speed of 11.3 kph (7 mph). The engine draws fuel from a tank that can hold up to 24.6 liters (6.5 US gallons). This zero turn lawn mower comes with a 2 year limited warranty to people purchasing it for residential use only, while people purchasing it for commercial use will get a 90 day warranty on the machine and 1 year warranty on the engine.
