McCulloch PM85 Snow Blower
The McCulloch PM85 Snow Blower is a step up in power from the likes of the McCulloch MC621 Snow Blower and even the McCulloch PM55 Dual Stage Snow Blower. It is powered by a very strong and robust Briggs and Stratton Snow Series engine. As you can probably guess from the name ‘Snow Series’, this engine has been specifically designed by Briggs and Stratton for use in snow blowers. So not only does it use it’s power very efficiently and effectively, it is also relatively easy to start even when it’s incredibly cold outside.
Thanks to it’s disc drive transmission, the McCulloch PM85 dual stage snowblower has an infinite number of gears when traveling in either forwards or in reverse. This is a fantastic addition to the machine as it means that it you don’t need to be constantly switching gears (something that is very difficult anyway when it’s cold outside!). The clearing width of the McCulloch PM85 2 stage snow thrower is 0.68 m (26.8 inches) which allows it to tackle very big sections of snow in just one passing. The engine has a choice of starting options. You can choose to start it with a pull cord, recoil system which requires a little bit of muscle. Or if you are close to a plug, you just need to plug it in and press the electric starter button.
Both the cute and the chute deflector on the McCulloch PM85 snow thrower are controlled remotely by the operator from the operator’s station, allowing you to make adjustments on the fly without having to stop the machine. The total weight of the PM 85 comes to 110 kg (242.5 lbs).
