McCulloch M185107HRB
The McCulloch M185107HRB garden tractor lawn mower is one of the more powerful machines from McCulloch. The Briggs and Stratton engine that powers it pumps out 9kW @ 2500 rpm (18.5 hp). This is a one cylinder engine. The fuel tank that supplies the motor with gasoline has a maximum capacity of 4.7 liters (1.2 US gallons). The 12 volt battery that is used when you are keystarting the engine is recharged with an alternator once the engine has been turned on. The engine powers the back wheels by diverting power through a hydrostatic transmission first. This transmission makes the M185107 HRB an automatic. It’s speed is controlled by a hand lever.
The engine also powers the the mower deck on the McCulloch M185107HRB. The mower deck has a cutting width of 1.07 m (42 inches). This mower deck is raised and lowered using a spring asissted hand operated lever. The mower deck can cut grass as low as 1.5 inches above the ground up to 4 inches above the ground. The deck is raised and lowered in half inch increments. On both the front and the rear of the mower deck’s edges, you will find anti scalping wheels to assist it in clearing bumpy and uneven ground without the risk of it accidentally scraping the ground.
The rear bagger that comes with the McCulloch M185107HRB as standard has a capacity to hold up to 150 liters (7.1 bushels) of grass. You also have the option of using a mulching plug with this lawnmower. When you hear that the total length of the lawn mower comes to 2.5 m (98.4 inches), you may feel that it’s very long. However, you’ll be glad to know that this length includes the grass collector attached to the rear. There is a similar but more powerful model than this one that is available called the McCulloch M19542H.
