The Kubota KX91 mini excavator is part of the KX family of diggers produced by Kubota. If you are looking for something a little smaller, then check out the Kubota KX 41 mini excavator, but if you are looking for a bigger machine, then have a look at the Kubota KX 121 compact digger. For this article we are going to be exclusively looking at the KX 91. This excavator is powered by a Kubota D1703-M-E3 diesel engine. This 1.6 liter engine has a maximum power output of 29.6 hp.

The transmission box on the Kubota KX91 excavator gives the machine a Hi gear setting and a Lo gear setting. When in high gear the mini digger has a maximum speed of 4.8 kph (2.9 mph) while in low gear, it’s top speed is 3.1 kph (1.9 mph). The length of the crawler on the KX 91 measures 2 m (78.7 inches), while the shoe has a width of 0.3 m (11. inches).

Many people enjoy using the Kubota KX91 as you can control the oil flow to your attachments so that they are performing as you want them to. The KX 91 uses double flanged track rollers to give the operator a very safe working environment when it’s working on it’s side. The mini excavator also works as a sort of plow thanks to it’s blade that can be controlled hydraulically to move soil (or even snow) in front of it. This is a real time saver if you are going to be constantly backfilling holes you dig. The machine is quite strong, the bucket has a breakout force of 3655.5 kg (8059 lbs). The machine unfortunately does not come with a cab, but does come with a roll cage (ROPS) to protect the operator in the off chance that it tips. It also uses a falling object protection system (FOPS) to protect the operator from any objects that may fall from overhead.
