John Deere Z920A
The John Deere Z920A zero turn lawn mower is very similar to the John Deere Z910A zero turn mower as they both have a choice of 3 different mower decks (48 inch, 54 inch, 60 inches). However the JD Z920A has a more powerful engine than the JD Z910A.This is a 26 hp engine from Kawasaki that has a total displacement of 0.73 liters. This engine uses an air filter and dual air cleaning system on the air intake (a pre cleaner followed by a canister type air filter). There is also a muffler on this engine to keep the noise to a minimum. The engine is a gasoline model that gets fuel from a tank that can hold up to 43.5 liters (11.5 US gallons). If you guessed from the size of the fuel tank that this machine is a commercial vehicle, then you would be absolutely right, it’s part of the Pro 900 Series of zero turn lawnmowers from JD.
As already mentioned, the John Deere Z920A zero turn lawnmower has a choice of either a 48 inch or a 54 inch or a 60 inch mower deck. Each of these decks is engaged with an electr0magnetic PTO which connects the belt drive system. All 3 of the decks have a cutting range of 3.5 inches, from a low of 1.5 inches above the ground to a high of 5 inches above the ground. Unlike a lot of mower decks that are made from thin steel, the deck on the JD Z920A is made from stamped 7 gauge steel which is very difficult to bend, break or crack.
The total weight of the John Deere Z920A obviously varies, but it’s lowest when the 48 inch deck is attached at 598.7 kg (1320 lbs). The total length of the zero turn lawnmower comes to 84 inches. The speed and direction of the rear wheels is controlled by the lap bars in front of the driver when he/she is sitting down.
