John Deere 7830
The John Deere 7830 tractor is quite a machine. It Is significantly bigger than the likes of the John Deere 7630 and John Deere 7730 tractors which are also from this large frame series produced by JD. The engine powering the JD 7830 is an intercooled PowerTech Engine that has a total displacement of 6.8 liters. It’s maximum power output comes in at 205 hp. The engine is turbocharged and uses a dual element air filter. Power from this engine gets to the wheels through the same choice of transmission that the rest of the 7030 large frame series has. The choice includes an infinite variable transmission, an AutoQuad Plus transmission and a PowrQuad Plus transmission. The 12 volt battery used to start the tractor is recharged by a 200 amp alternator when the tractor is ticking over.
The production of the John Deere 7830 is in JD’s plant that is located in Waterloo, Iowa. The tractor has a massive fuel tank that can hold up to 390 liters (103 US gallons) of diesel. The rear 3 point hitch on the JD 7830 has a maximum lifting capacity of up to 6350 kg (14000 lbs). Keeping the tractor balanced is relatively easy thanks to so many different points that you can add ballast to; the front, the rear, the wheels. Adding weight to the front of the tractor is very easy thanks to the suitcase weights JD make.
The operator station on the John Deere 7830 features a CommandView cab which houses all the controls and comfortable high back drivers seat. Obviously the total weight of the JD 7830 varies tremendously due to the different chassis configurations (2WD, 4WD, MFWD) as well as the different optional extras that you can select for it. The hydraulic system on this machine is very large. It’s has the capacity to hold up to 108 liters (28.5 US gallons) of hydraulic fluid.
