John Deere 667A
The John Deere 667A Quik Trak is the largest in the current line up of stand on lawnmowers from JD. Smaller models include the John Deere 647A Quik Trak and the John Deere 657A Quik-Trak stand on lawnmowers. The engine powering the JD 667A is a 0.675 liter Kawasaki engine. This air cooled engine produces 23 hp and is fed with gasoline from a fuel tank that holds up to 22.7 liters (6 US gallons). The hydrostatic transmission on this lawn mower gives it a top speed of 13.7 kph (8.5 mph).
The mower deck on the John Deere 667A Quik Trak has a cutting width of 60 inches and is constructed from single piece of strong 7 gauge steel that is less likely to get damaged or fractured when compared to similar sized mower decks that are constructed from multiple parts. The mower deck on the JD 667A has 4 small plastic anti-scalp wheels located on the front of it which prevent it from catching on the ground and scraping it, potentially leaving ugly marks. The mower deck consists of 3 small blades. The mower deck can be raised as high as 5 inches above the grass it’s cutting and as low as 1.5 inches above the grass. The raising and lowering is done in very small 0.25 inch increments allowing you to achieve whichever height you choose. All raising and lowering can be done while the operator in standing on the machine.
The deck on the John Deere 667A stand on lawnmower is floating so you will always get a nice even cut (instead of random patches of long and bald grass).
