John Deere 515
The John Deere 515 tractor has 2 variations; the standard model and the John Deere 515V which has been modified specifically for uses in vineyards. The JD 515 was built in Spain so was never widely available in the US. It uses a diesel engine that John Deere designed and built themselves. This is a 4 cylinder engine that has a liquid cooling system so that the engine never gets too hot. The engine has a paper air filter on the air intake which prevents dust and other particulate matter from getting into the engine where it has the potential to clog the engine and possibly damage it.
The John Deere 515 is built on a 4×2 2WD chassis which means that the large rear wheels power it forwards while the much smaller front wheels are responsible for steering it. The JD 515 tractor has a category 1, 3 point hitch on the back which allows it to accommodate a massive amount of different and useful attachments.
