The John Deere 2500B Precision Cut ride on golf green lawn mower comes with either a diesel or a gasoline powered engine. The diesel engine is a Yanmar TNV70-XJGM. This engine produces 19.6 hp. The filter that cleans the air intake of dust and other particulate matter is a dual stage, semi cyclone dry type air filter. The engine uses a liquid cooling system to prevent it from overheating during operation. The full pressurized lubrication system has a full flow oil filter. The diesel Yanmar engine is a 3 cylinder with a total displacement of 0.784 liters. The gasoline powered engine is a Kawasaki FD 620D model. This engine is a 4 stroke with a overhead valves. The gas powered engine produces 19.9 hp and it uses the same type of air filter as the diesel, Yanmar model. The total displacement of the Kawasaki engine comes to 0.585 liters. It’s a twin cylinder that is also liquid cooled.
The John Deere 2500B Precision Cut lawn mower that is powered by the Yanmar, diesel engine is started by a 12 volt battery that is recharged by a 20 amp alternator. The JD 2500B powered by the Kawasaki engine is also started by a 12 volt battery, but it’s recharged by a 16 amp alternator. The 2500 B Precision Cut is slowed down using a set of disc brakes that are pedal controlled.
The top speed of the John Deere 2500B Precision Cut is fairly impressive at 13.7 kph (8.5 mph) when the mower is not engaged.
