Husqvarna YTH22V42
The Husqvarna YTH22V42 lawn mower is a 22hp garden tractor lawn mower with a 42 inch mower deck from Husqvarna aimed at people with 0.5-4 acres of grass to cut. The YTH 22 V42 is also sometimes recognized by it’s model number 960 43 01-09. This 22 hp mower uses an Intek gasoline engine designed and built by Briggs & Stratton. This engine is 0.656 liters in size and is air cooled. The engine is keystarted using a 12 volt battery. Once the engine is ticking over an alternator recharges it. The fuel tank on this model is capable of holding up to 9.5 liters (2.5 US gallons) of gasoline.
The Husqvarna YTH22V42 uses a Tuff Torq hydrostatic transmission to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. Because the transmission is a hydrostatic, it makes this 42 inch Husqvarna lawn mower an automatic with no need for you to change gears. To speed up and slow down, you just need to use the foot pedals. The mower deck on this machine is fabricated from stamped steel and uses aluminum spindles. There are 2 blades housed within the deck. The operator has 3 choices for dealing with grass clippings. The best option is to purchase the optional bagger to collect the clippings at the rear of the lawn mower. This will leave you lawn looking a lot cleaner. However this can be a little time consuming for some, as you obviously don’t want to spend all your time attaching and detaching bagger bags. If this is the case you can use a mulching kit instead or even just discharge the clippings out the side of the mower deck.
There are a whole range of similar models to the Husqvarna YTH22V42 garden tractor lawn mower. These include the Husqvarna YTH21K46 lawn mower and the Husqvarna YTH2042 tractor lawn mower as well as the Husqvarna YTH23V48 lawnmower.

Fantastic mower for the money!
This mower does a fantastic job! Runs smooth and quiet, cuts evenly, etc. I had a Troy Built Pony (no comparison) previously. I would recommend this mower for the money! Blades came off easy for sharpening.
