Husqvarna 924SB Snow Blower
The Husqvarna 924SB Snow Blower is very similar to the Husqvarna 924HV Snow Blower. They both have the same clearing width of 0.61 m (24 inches) and the same intake height of 0.58 m (23 inches). The 924HV is powered by a LCT, 4 stroke engine. This engine has a displacement of 0.21 liters and provides the snow thrower with a power output of 9 hp. This engine is started by either an electric starter button powered by the mains electricity or if you are not close to a plug by a pull cord recoil starting system that is a bit more physical!
As this is a dual stage snow blower, it has both an auger and an impeller for crushing and getting rid of snow. The auger that crushes the snow on the Husqvarna 924SB snow blower has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches) and is constructed from serrated steel to easily break up any type of snow. Once snow has been crushed by the auger, it automatically moves towards the center of the 924 SB where it is sucked up and shot out of the chute by the impeller. This impeller has a diameter of 0.3 m (12 inches) and can shoot the snow very far from the clearing area.
The overall weight of the Husqvarna 924SB snowblower comes to 167.8 kg (370 lbs) which may seem quite heavy for a 24 inch snow thrower, but as it’s a dual stage snow thrower, it’s actually quite reasonable for it to weigh this much. The 924SB measures 1.33 m (52.5 inches) in length while it’s 2 inches wider than it’s maximum clearing width at 0.66 m (26 inches). The total height of this dual stage snow blower from ground level to the top of the handle bars is 1.18 m (46.5 inches). You’ll be glad to know that it with a halogen headlight so that you can easily operate this snow thrower in the dark and dim light.
