Honda HS724WA Snow Blower
The Honda HS724WA Snow Blower is a little smaller in size when compared to the likes of the Honda HS928WA Snow Blower or even the Honda HS928TAS Snow Blower. However it is still a very powerful machine even if it’s clearing width is a little smaller at 0.61 m (24 inches). The engine powering the HS724WA dual stage snowblower is a Honda GX200 engine that has a displacement of 0.2 liters. One small drawback of this engine is that it can only be started by a pull cord recoil mechanism (it doesn’t have the option of being started electrically). But this is nothing major as the engine has automatic decompression which makes starting it quite easy.
The fuel tank for the Honda HS724WA dual stage snow blower can hold up to 3.5 liters (0.92 US gallons) of gasoline. This is enough to give the snow thrower up to 3.5 hours operating time (that’s according to Honda themselves). The clearing width of the machine is 0.61 m (24 inches) while it has an intake height of 0.51 m (20 inches). When it drives into snow, the first thing that happens is that the serrated steel auger quickly breaks up the snow in front of it into much easier to manage pieces. This snow, once inside the housing then moves towards the center of the machine, where it meets the impeller. The impeller is the second part of this dual stage process. It’s made from steel and very quickly takes the snow from the housing and pushes it out through the chute at high speed.
The chute on the Honda HS724WA 2 stage snow blower is made from steel and has an adjustable deflector on the top of it to give the operator more control over where he is sending the snow. The rotation of the chute is controlled from the operators station.
