Craftsman ZTS7500
The Craftsman ZTS7500 zero turn lawn mower is not a mower that many would expect Craftsman to make as it’s simply not a garden tractor lawnmower which they are so well known for manufacturing. The ZTS 7500 is powered by a Briggs and Stratton engine that has overhead valves and is prevented from overheating thanks to a air cooling system. The engine has a total displacement of 0.725 liters and is a 2 cylinder model with cast iron lined cylinders. This ELS Briggs and Stratton transfers it’s power to the wheels of the lawn mower through a dual hydrostatic transmission that allows the operator to control each rear wheel independent of the other using the lap bars in front of him.
By pushing the lap bars on the Craftsman ZTS7500 in opposite directions, you can make a zero radius turn with ease. The rear wheels on the ZTS 7500 are much bigger than the front wheels as these carry most of the weight of the machine as well as drive it forwards. The rear wheels each measure 18×8.5 (18 inch diameter, 8.5 inch width). The front wheels are much smaller as these really only need to enable the mower to turn easily and aren’t designed to offer any grip or traction. They each measure 11×4 (11 inch diameter, 4 inch width).
The total weight of the Craftsman ZTS7500 comes in at 351.5 kg (775 lbs) and the frame is constructed from 14 gauge steel. The mower deck on the ZTS 7500 has a cutting width of 50 inches and houses 3 blades inside the hanging deck. There are 4 gauge wheels attached to the outer edges of the deck which help to give you a smoother overall cut during operation. The cutting deck operates over 2.25 inches from a low of 1.5 inches above the ground to a high of 3.75 inches above the ground.
