The Craftsman Professional 52″ 24hp zero turn lawn mower is the largest zero turn lawn mower available from Craftsman. The engine powering the zero turn lawnmower is a Briggs and Stratton model that supplies the mower deck and the wheels with enough power to handle even particularly long grass. The engine utilizes a cartridge air filter to clean dust and particulate matter from the air intake before it enters into the combustion chambers. The engine is started using a 12 volt battery. The operator controls the 52 inch zero turn lawnmower using the 2 lap bars in front of him to move forwards and backwards as well as execute zero radius turns.

They control each rear wheel independently. This is thanks to the dual hydrostatic ZT 2800 Hydro-Gear transmission which gives the right lap bar control of the right rear wheel and the left lap bar control over the left rear wheel. The Craftsman 24 hp zero turn lawnmower is a big one as it tips the scales at a fairly heavy 381 kg (840 lbs). The mower deck on this Craftsman Professional zero turn mower has a cutting width of 52 inches as previously stated. This mower deck consists of 3 blades. As this lawnmower is generally used by commercial contractors, most of them simply discharge the cut grass out the side of the mower deck. However, if you want to collect the grass clippings, then you can purchase a rear bagger that has a 5 bushel capacity.
