Husqvarna LGT2654
There are quite a number of similar models to the Husqvarna LGT2654 garden tractor lawn mower. These include the Husqvarna YTH26V54, the Husqvarna LGT2554 and the Husqvarna GTH2654 garden tractor lawnmowers which all have the same sized mower deck at 54 inches wide. The 54 inch mower deck on the LGT 2654 has a total of 3 blades. These blades are belt driven and made from steel. The great thing about this mower deck is that it can cut at extremely low heights, it’s lowest operational height being just 0.5 inches above the ground. It is raised in roughly 0.5 inch increments from 0.5 inches above the ground up to it’s maximum height of 3.5 inches above the ground. Like most of the tractor lawn mowers that Husqvarna produce, the LGT2654 has a number of anti scalping wheels attached to the deck.
The engine that powers the blades on the Husqvarna LGT2654 mower is a Briggs and Stratton Intek model. This is a v twin that has a total displacement of 0.721 liters. The engine gets it’s fuel from a tank that can hold up to 15.1 liters (4 US gallons) of gasoline. The engine powers the rear wheels on the mower using a hydrostatic transmission. This means that the lawnmower is an automatic and there is no gear changing required to speed up or slow down, you just need to use the foot pedal.
Thankfully the Husqvarna LGT2654 has a high back seat (15 inches) which offers great support to those using it for extended periods of time. You will notice that the LGT 2654 comes with headlights as standard so that you can operate it even in low light (or darkness). The lights are powered by the same 12 volt battery that is used to start the engine. All around good mower few problems like anything else, gonna have some butt I fix it myself.Motor is great very pleased Briggs always produce good engine’s.I traded Cub Cadet for mine with same size cutt butt bigger engine it had been sitting up an rear end would stop pulling after a few minutes. Butt no problem pulled rear end out an got water out of it an checked it out just to putt new fluid in it, now it pulls like a new one lots of pulling power. Couldn’t ask for a better cutting mower
This is the fifth year I am using this mower. Have had no problems at all. Cuts good.
I mow a 1/2 acre of land once a week.
Would definitely recommend this mower. Still has the original battery and all original parts.
BOUGHT A NEW FROM LOWES LGT 2654 BECAUSE MY 18 YEAR OLD CRAFTSMAN lt1000 WAS GIVING ME PROBLEMS. I DIDNT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM LOWES BECAUSE I AM A MECHANIC. 1ST TIME I MOWED THE BELT CAME OFF AND COMES OFF EVERYTIME WE USE IT, TAKING IT IN FOR SERVICE WAS A BIG WASTE OF TIME AS THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED. 5 MINUTES OF USE AND IT COMES OFF.
cUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS AS YOU KNOW WHAT, BUT THEN SO IS MY MOWER, HAD TO BUY AN 18 YEAR OLD POULAN MOWER FOR 150.00 THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. cUST SERVICE TOLD ME THAT MY 2 ACRES I MOW IS TO MUCH FOR THE MOWER, THEN THEY TELL ME I NEED TO MOW IN NUMBER 5 SETTING OR HIGHER, REALLY.
SO MUCH FOR QUALITY OR SERVICE
Very disappointed
Hate it!!!
Good. But truth in selling this products benefits would be a great improvement. I was led to believe that this was a better garden tractor than the others, but come to find out, its’ no better than the cheapest JD.
Great if you never use it more then 100 hours.,
Don’t ever buy one of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the tractor, hate the deck I use it to mower about 12 lawns a year it now has 200 hours on it mower runs good but I’m having problems with the belt sliping off. Overall good for personal use with larger lawns but not for professional or commercial use wear they need to be abused and still keep going. A welder and a hammer will fix most of the problems you will have on this mower.
