Husqvarna iZC5223
The Husqvarna iZC5223 zero turn lawn mower is incredibly similar to the Husqvarna iZ5223 zero turn lawnmower as both machines have the same horsepower and the same sized mower deck. However there are actually a few differences between the 2 that this review will address. The engine on the Husqvarna iZC 5223 is a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard model that has 2 cylinders. The engine is kept working efficiently thanks to a full pressure lubrication system. This full pressure lubrication system has a capacity to hold up to 1.9 liters of oil. The power output from the Briggs & Stratton engine is 23 hp. This engine draws it’s fuel from a very large tank that can hold up to 43.2 liters (11.4 US gallons). The engine powers the wheels (rear) through a combination of a dual hydrostatic transmission and Parker wheel motors which make the lawn mower an automatic. There is no gear changing at all. Instead you just need to press or pull on the lap bars to speed up or slow down.
The top speed of the Husqvarna iZC5223 lawnmower is similar to that of the other ‘iZ’ models, it’s 15.3 kph (9.5 mph). The wheels that drive the lawn mower forward are large and have turf threads which will practically never leave marks on your lawn, even if it’s soaked wet. They each measure 23×9.5-12 (23 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width, 12 inch rim diameter). Meanwhile the front wheels are very small in comparison. They measure 13×5-6. (13 inch diameter, 5 inch width, 6 inch rim diameter).
The mower deck on the Husqvarna iZC5223 mower has a cutting width of 52 inches. Each of the 3 blades housed inside the deck have length of 21 inches. The operator can raise and lower the deck with the help of a foot assist lever that brings the deck from a low of 1.5 inches up to a high of up to 5 inches above the ground.
