John Deere JX75

The John Deere JX75 walk behind lawn mower gets it’s power from a Kawasaki engine that produces 6hp. This engine features overhead valves and has a total displacement of 0.179 liters. The engine is a 4 stroke and it uses a full pressure lubrication system to keep all the working parts running smoothly. The engine on the JD JX75 transfers power to the wheels making this a self propelled lawn mower. The engine is started using a pull cord recoil mechanism and unfortunately there is not the option of an electric start. There are a total of 5 different speeds for this mower.

The mower deck on the John Deere JX75 is made from aluminum, not steel like on so many other JD push lawnmowers. The deck has a cutting width of 21 inches and has just one blade (obviously). For dealing with the cut grass clippings you have 3 different options. The easiest is to just discharge them out the side, but this can make your lawn look unkempt. The next easiest option is to use an optional mulching plug which will make the grass clippings rot much faster. However you lawn may still look a little messy with this option. The last option is to use a rear bagger (it has a 2.5 bushel capacity) on the JD JX75 to collect the grass clippings.

All four wheels on the John Deere JX75 are the same size, measuring 9×2.25 (9 inch diameter, 2.25 inch width). The wheels are not pneumatic. The height of the cut can be adjusted from a high of 3.5 inches above the ground down to a low of just 0.5 inches above the ground. Another walk behind lawnmower that also has an aluminum deck is the John Deere JA62. The JD JX75 comes with a 2 year warranty when buying it new.
