McCulloch M12597HRB
The McCulloch M12597HRB garden tractor lawn mower is almost identical to the McCulloch M12597RB lawnmower, except for one simple fact. That is that the M125 97 HRB uses a hydrostatic transmission instead of a gearshift transmission to change gears. This means that it is a lot easier to use. Similar models to the M12597HRB include the McCulloch M155107HRB and the McCulloch M165107HRB lawn mower which are also hydrostatics. The engine powering the McCulloch M12597HRB is a Briggs & Stratton PowerBuilt engine. This engine provides the mower deck and wheels with 12.5 hp.
Power from the engine on the McCulloch M12597HRB reaches the wheels through a hydrostatic transmission. This means no gear changing is needed. Instead to change speed, you just need to move the lever either forwards or backwards. The rear wheels that the engine drives each measure 20×10-8 (20 inch diameter, 10 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter) while the front wheels which steer the garden tractor lawn mower each measure 15×6-6 (15 inch diameter, 6 inch width, 6 inch rim diameter). The mower deckhas a cutting width of 0.97 m (38.2 inches) which is good for gardens that range in size from 0.5 acres up to about 3.5 acres. The mower deck cuts at a maximum height of 4 inches above the ground, down to a low of 1.5 inches above the ground.
On the leading edge of the mower deck on the McCulloch M12597HRB, you will notice 2 small, plastic anti scalping wheels. These force the mower deck to follow the contours of the ground you are traveling over which make for a smooth, clean cut as well as preventing the mower deck from scraping or scratching the lawn. The total weight of this lawn mower comes to 239 kg (526.9 lbs). It has a wheelbase of 1.18 m (46.5 inches) and a length of 2.5 m (98.4 inches).
