John Deere LT180
The John Deere LT180 lawnmower is one of the largest ride on garden tractor lawnmowers in the LT series made by JD in their plant in Horicon, Wisconsin. The engine powering this mower is a 2 cylinder Kawasaki with cast iron liners. This engine gives out 17 hp that powers both the wheels and the mower deck. Thanks to it’s Twin Touch automatic transmission, the JD LT180 doesn’t need a gear box. Instead there are just 2 pedals. One for traveling forwards and the other for reversing. The harder you press the pedal, the faster you will go, up to a top speed of 9.3 kph (5.8 mph) when traveling forwards and 5.6 kph (3.5 mph) when reversing.
There are a number of mower decks that the John Deere LT180 lawnmower is compatible with. These include a 38 inch, 42 inch and 48 inch mower decks. This mower deck has 13 different positions which means that you will practically always get the cut height that you want. As well as being compatible with many mower decks, the JD LT180 can also accommodate a range of attachments, from a 44 inch John Deere front blade to a 42 inch, 2 stage snowblower. These attachments mean that your JD LT180 is more than just a mower. It’s a truly versatile machine for around the garden.
The John Deere LT180 is very handy for those with small, narrow and awkward patches of grass that need cutting thanks to it’s very small turning radius of just 0.36 m (14 inches). The JD LT 180 also has a foot pedal to lift and lower the the mower deck and other implements which makes operating this machine incredibly easy. If you are looking for a machine that’s a little bigger, then you may be interested in the John Deere LT190 lawn mower. However if it’s something smaller that you are after, then take a look at theĀ John Deere LT170 lawnmower.
