John Deere LA130
The John Deere LA130 was one of the models from the 100 series of lawn mowers that John Deere produced during 2007 only. Smaller models include the John Deere LA110 and the John Deere LA120, while the John Deere LA140 is an example of a bigger version in the series. All of these models in the ‘100’ series were produced in the Horicon production facility in Wisconsin. The JD LA130 is built on a 4X2 2WD chassis which houses a Briggs and Stratton, gasoline (petrol) engine. This 2 cylinder, V twin has a displacement of 0.725 liters (44 cubic inches) and gives an output of 21 hp.The engine needs 1.9 liters of oil to maintain full functioning and adequate lubrication.
The John Deere LA130 has a hydrostatic transmission which makes operating it incredibly easy. There is absolutely no gear changing whatsoever. Instead you just have 2 pedals; forwards and backwards. This will allow the operator to work much longer without having to constantly worry about constantly shifting gears. The mid mounted mower deck has a cutting width of 1.21 m (48 inches), while the overall width of the JD LA130 comes to 1.54 m (60.5 inches).
The front wheels on the John Deere LA130 measure 16×6.5-8 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width, 8 inch diameter rims), while the rear tires measure 22×9.5-12 (22 inch diameter, 9.5 inch width, 12 inch diameter rims). These wheels help to give the JD LA130 a turning radius of 0.46 m (18 inches) making it quite agile for a large lawnmower that tips the scales at 237 kg (524 lbs). For more great tips and information on this lawn mower, you can see it on John Deere’s official site by clicking here. Most people enjoy using this model thanks to the fact that it’s still a relatively new model which means that getting replacement parts for it is incredibly easy and practically hassle free.

Worked great for it’s short life.
Has no power when mowing up hill v twin motor vanguard 20 hp is no good.
Completely satisfied.
Average design to compete with the lesser expensive brands of Cub Cadets and Husqvarna’s that are out there. This was my first purchase of a John Deere. Will more than likely upgrade to a better model next time.
