Simplicity P1728E Snow Blower
The Simplicity P1728E Snow Blower is pretty much only used by professional snow clearing companies. No wonder it’s from the ‘Pro Commercial Duty Dual Stage’ series of snow blowers from Simplicity then! The P1728E has a clearing width of 0.71 m (28 inches). The intake height measures 0.5 m (19.75 inches), but drift knives can be added to it so technically it can handle snow much deeper than 0.5 m (19.75 inches). The snow blower eats up the snow with a auger that has a diameter 0.36 m (14 inches). This snow then gets fired out through the chute thanks to the 4 bladed steel impeller. Using it’s Power Boost technology, that detects how much power is needed based on the snow in front of it enables the impeller to fire the snow up to 13.7 m (45 feet) from the clearing area.
The Simplicity P1728E snowblower is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Professional Series engine that provides the machine with 16.5 ft-lbs of torque. The fuel tank has a capacity to hold up to 3.8 liters (US gallons) of gasoline. This 4 stroke engine can be started by 2 different starting mechanisms. The first and easiest is by pushing the electric starter button, but the snow thrower needs to be plugged in for that. The other choice, if you are not close to a power supply is to use the pull cord, recoil starting mechanism.
The chute on the Simplicity P1728E snow thrower is made from steel and has a width of 0.1 m (4 inches). This chute can rotate up to 200 degrees and is controlled from the operator station. The deflector is also controlled from the operator station allowing the operator extra accuracy as to where he is sending the cleared snow. This snow blower is slightly bigger than the Simplicity P1524E Snow Blower and is much bigger than the Simplicity I924E Snow Blower.
