John Deere 2305
TheĀ John Deere 2305 is one of JD’s most popular compact tractors. They began building in 2006 and as of 2010, it is still on John Deere’s production line. The 2305 produces 24hp, powered by a 3 cylinder, Yanmar engine (diesel). This tractor comes highly recommended if used for smaller jobs where you don’t want to waste time using a shovel or do too much manual labour.
You can fit a front end loader with bucket for moving earth or gravel or whatever you can fit in the bucket. You can also attach a backhoe to the John Deere 2305, which makes it very useful on small farms.
Many people really enjoy using the JD 2305 as it comes with power steering to make driving it through rough terrain a lot easier than similar-sized models from other brands (that can be very difficult to control while navigating bumping and uneven surfaces).
Many small land owners love using the John Deere 2305 as it’s not a behemoth that takes up a lot of space or uses massive quantities of fuel. The 2305 tips the scales at just 1450 lbs (or 657 kg for those of you in Europe) and has a wheelbase just over 57 inches, making it easy to drive down small country lanes.
It should be noted, that if you plan on using the John Deere 2305 in cold or unforgiving weather, it unfortunately does not come with a cab as standard, but instead, just a roll bar. Sure, you could try manufacture your own cab, but be very careful of this as it may void the warranty. So please keep this in mind if you plan on purchasing this model and you live in colder climes.
Some things that you would expect to come as standard with this model are a three point hitch with a lift capacity of 681 lbs (309 kg) and a PTO power of 18hp.

Don’t know what happened on original review . Should say , used to mow grass on 10 acre property as well as maintained (scrape gravel/snow as needed on 3/10 mile driveway.
Bought new in first year of production I think . Used to mow gas on scrape 3/10 mile drive way , clean ditches and all other types of work . Used backhoe in my plumbing business quite often . No issues other than regular maintenance. Approx 1200 hours . No regrets what so ever , by the way the same experience with my x750 .
Never a John Deere anything again EVER EVER!!!! Kubota for me from now on. My neighbor bought his Kubota at the same time. Has 700 hours on it and looks new. I have even borrowed it when this John Deere junk breaks down.
Very disappointed
Bought this new has 530 hours on it. Fuel guage quit working $800.00.
Transmission fan and mounting bracket broke. The wrong fan on it from the factory it is 1/2 to deep from the mounting hub to the tip of the fan blades. Since it is off warranty it is my problem even though it was built wrong.
Wondering how many people replaced the fans and did not realize it was the fan that was wrong and not something they did.
ITS a joy to use it I ever get the mail with it and my dogs likes to go with me .
