Toro Z Master Z420
The Toro Z Master Z420 is part of a large series of machines that also includes the likes of the Toro Z Master Z380 and the Toro Z Master Z480 zero turn mowers. The mower deck on the Z-Master Z420 has a cutting width of 42 inches. This deck comes with anti scalping gauge wheels as standard to prevent the deck from catching the ground as it travels over it (which often leaves unsightly scars). The blades on the mower deck are belt driven and engaged using an electric PTO clutch. The blades have been heat treated so that their edges remain sharper for longer when compared to untreated steel.
People using the Toro Z Master Z420 zero turn lawnmower that want their lawn looking extra neat and tidy have the option of purchasing a rear bagger attachment to collect the grass clippings or alternatively installing a mulcher kit to turn the clippings into a mulch. The standard way for dealing with grass clippings on the Z420 Z Master is to just discharge them out the side of the deck. The deck on the Z 420 is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Intek engine that produces 16 hp. This engine has cast iron cylinder liners to give the engine an extra long operating life.
The engine powers the rear wheels on the Toro Z Master Z420 through a dual hydrostatic transmission system up to a top speed of 9.7 kph (6 mph). The Z 420 Z-Master comes with a high back seat that has armrests built in for extra comfort when operating the zero turn mower for long periods of time. You can also optionally purchase a snow blade to clear snow during the winter. Please feel free to leave your thoughts on this lawnmower below in a review.
