The Husqvarna YTH22V46 garden tractor lawn mower is quite similar to the Husqvarna YTH22V46XLS model except for some minor differences. It also shares a good bit in common with the Husqvarna YTH2246. All three machines have the exact same power output and same sized mower decks also. The engine that powers the YTH 22V46 is an Intek model from Briggs and Stratton. This is a twin cylinder gasoline engine that has a total displacement of 0.646 liters. The engine uses a full pressure lubrication system and has overhead valves. It uses an auto type air filter to purify the air intake coming into the engine so that no dust or other particulate matter gets into the combustion chamber.

The engine on the Husqvarna YTH22V46 transfers power to the wheels through a hydrostatic transmission. This gives the YTH 22V46 infinite speeds both going forwards and in reverse also. The speed is controlled via a foot pedal. The tractor lawnmower can be slowed down using a disk braking system which is again foot controlled. The sector and pinion steering system on the lawnmower enables it to have a very reasonable 16 inch minimum turning radius.

The mower deck has a cutting width of 46 inches on the Husqvarna YTH22V46. This mowing deck houses 2 blades. The height of the deck can be raised or lowered from 1.5 inches up to 4 inches above the ground. In total there are 6 different set cutting heights. The deck that houses the 2 mower blades is made from 12 gauge steel for durability.
