The Husqvarna YTH2048 Crown garden tractor lawn mower is not Husqvarna’s newest model of garden tractor lawnmower, but it’s still a fairly popular one. This lawn tractor has a 20 hp engine powering the wheels and mower deck. The engine uses a full pressure lubrication system to keep the moving parts oiled and working properly. Before the air intake enters into the combustion chambers it first passes through a paper type air filter that removes the particulate matter and dust from it so that it doesn’t clog the engine and stall it when it’s firing. The YTH 2048’s engine has a total displacement of 0.656 liters.

The fuel tank on this model has the capacity to hold up to 7.6 liters (2 US gallons) of gasoline. The rear wheels on the Husqvarna YTH2048 through which power is transferred and drive the lawn tractor each measure 20×10-8 (20 inch diameter, 10 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter). The front tires which are responsible for steering the YTH 2048 each measure 15×6-6 (15 inch diameter, 6 inch width, 6 inch rim diameter). The total length of this mower comes to 69 inches (without a rear bagger attached). The minimum turning radius of the lawnmower comes to 18 inches.

The cutting width of the Husqvarna YTH2048’s mower deck is 48 inches. This is the width that the blades cover. What is interesting is that the total width of the mower deck is actually 59 inches, 11 inches greater than the cutting width. This is due to the protective discharge flap that is attached to the side of the deck. The mower deck is engaged using an electric PTO and the blades are belt driven. Don’t forget that the YTH 2048 has a number of compatible attachments and implements that range from baggers to collect the grass clippings to snow blowers and utility carts.
