The engine powering it is a single cylinder Briggs and Stratton supplies 12.5 horsepower. The engine uses cast iron cylinder liners and a splash lubrication system to make sure that the engine doesn’t seize up during operation or wear excessively. The single air filter on the engine works to prevent any impurities in the air intake entering into the combustion chamber.

Raising and lowering the cutting deck is done with a spring assisted lever. Some people like to just discharge the grass clippings onto the lawn while cutting the grass and rake them up later.
