Toro 520xi
The Toro 520xi garden tractor lawn mower uses a Kohler Command engine to power it. This overhead valve engine uses an air cooling system. It utilizes a dry type air filter to prevent dust and other small particulate matter from entering into the combustion chamber when the engine is firing. The engine powering the 520XI produces 20 hp. This tractor is often seen being used by garden professional thanks to it’s large 15.1 liter (4 US gallons) fuel tank which means that it rarely needs to be refilled even after very long operating hours.
In total there are 5 different mower decks that are compatible with the Toro 520xi lawnmower. The smallest has a cutting width of just 42 inches, while the largest has a cutting width of 60 inches. Obviously the larger mower decks are more likely to have difficulty cutting very long and damp grass when compared to the narrower ones. Without a deck attached, the total width of the 520 XI comes to 40.5 inches. The mower decks have a 2.5 inch cutting range. The operate as low as 1.5 inches from the ground up to 4 inches from the ground.
The Toro 520xi is a fairly hefty tractor lawn mower. In total, without a mowing deck attached, it tips the scales at a whopping 459.9 kg (1014 lbs). There are huge range of other attachments that work on the 520 xi lawn mower beside mower decks. The most useful of these include a snow thrower as well as a dozer blade that are both attached to the front of the machine. You can also attach a sweeper, a roller, a tiller and a bucket loader among others. There is another model in the 5xi series that is quite like this one. This is the Toro GT550 which is sometimes called the Toro 522xi lawn mower.
