The Toro GT2100 garden tractor lawnmower is very similar to the Toro GT2200 lawn mower. The GT 2200 lawnmower has one of the most powerful engine of any Toro lawnmower. The engine that powers it produces 23 hp. This a Kohler Courage model. This twin cylinder engine is an OHV model and has a fully pressurized lubrication system. The engine also has an oil filter. The engine is prevented from overheating thanks to an air cooling system. The heavy duty transmission on the GT 2100 transfers power to the wheels. This gearbox makes it incredibly quick compared to a lot of other ride on lawn tractors. It’s top speed is 9.7 kph (6 mph) while in reverse it has a max speed of 5.6 kph (3.5 mph).

The mower deck that comes with the Toro GT2100 as standard has 3 different operating modes. The basic mode is for it to just discharge the cut grass out the side of the deck. However, you can optionally attach a rear mounted bagger attachment to collect the clippings, although this will take time to empty. The last option is to use the mulching kit which chops up the grass clippings very quickly into a fast rotting and highly nutritious mulch. The mower deck on the GT 2100 can be raised as high as 4 inches above the ground. It can be lowered by 2.5 inches from here to 1.5 inches above the ground.

Operating the Toro GT2100 for long periods is fairly easy as the driver’s seat is completely adjustable to suit practically any height. It also has a high back which offers great support. The GT 2100 can accommodate a 42 inch 2 stage snowblower as well as a 46 inch front blade which makes it very useful even during the winter. It comes with headlights as standard so that you can operate it when it’s dark outside.
