The 4 valve, 2 cylinder engine runs on gasoline. It has got a coolant capacity of 10.4 liters and oil capacity of 4.7 liters.

The John Deere 430 weighs 3250 lbs. This model was one of the lightest in terms of weight, taking into consideration most of the farming tractors which were manufactured during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
