Massey Ferguson 2825H
The Massey Ferguson 2825H lawn tractor mower is from the Massey Ferguson 2800 series of lawnmowers. The MF2800 series also includes the Massey Ferguson 2827H lawn mower. The MF 2825H gets it’s power for the wheels and mower deck from a Command engine that is built by Kohler. The engine is a twin cylinder model that produces 25 hp and is started electronically by a 12 volt battery with a keystart ignition. The engine draws gas from a fuel tank that can hold up to 15.1 liters (4 US gallons) of gas. This engine runs at a rated speed of 3600 rpm.
The Massey Ferguson 2825H uses a K-71 hydrostatic transmission to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. This hydrostatic transmission makes the MF2825H an automatic which means that you don’t have to worry about gear changing. Instead you just need to press down on the gas pedal to get to a top speed of up to 11.6 kph (7.2 mph) when traveling ahead, while in reverse the garden tractor can hit a top speed of 7.2 kph (4.5 mph). The front turf wheels on this lawn mower measure 16×6.5-8 (16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch width, 8 inch rim diameter) while the rear tires measure 23×10.5-12 (23 inch diameter, 10.5 inch width, 12 inch rim diameter).
The garden tractor itself is built on a 2WD chassis that has been constructed from 10 gauge steel. A differential lock has been built in to the Massey Ferguson 2825H which gives it a very low minimum turning radius of just 0.46 m (18 inches). The MF 2825 H is much more than just a lawn mower, it can also accommodate a large range of attachments. These include a host of baggers for collecting the grass clippings to utility carts, dethatchers, tillers, front blades and snow blowers, both single stage and dual stage (42 inch and 46 inch).
