The Snapper ZT27/46 zero turn lawnmower is the more powerful of the 2 lawnmowers in the Snapper 285Z range of zero turn mowers, even though it’s cutting width is slightly smaller. The mower deck on the ZT 2746 has cutting width of 46 inches. The deck is made up of 3 blades that have been constructed from 12 gauge steel. The deck can be raised and lowered from a high of 3.75 inches to a low of 1 inch above the ground. You’ll notice on the mower deck that there are small plastic wheels attached to both the leading and trailing edges. The purpose of these is to prevent the deck from scraping and scratching the ground even if the ground happens to be very uneven.

The Snapper ZT27/46 has 3 options for dealing with the grass clippings. The easiest and quickest is to just discharge the clippings out the side of the mower deck. However this is not acceptable if you want the lawn to look neat and tidy. You can optionally use a mulching kit on the ZT 2746 that chops the grass clippings into a fine mulch that quickly rots and returns it’s nutrients to the soil. The third option is attaching a rear bagger that has 3 compartments and can hold up to 10 bushels of grass.

The weight of the Snapper ZT27/46 is 267.6 kg (590 lbs). It has a wheelbase of 48 inches and it’s total length comes to 75 inches, although this will obviously increase a lot if the bagger is attached to the rear.
