Snapper RER11.5/28
The Snapper RER11.5/28 ride on lawnmower is the smallest ride on lawnmower available from Snapper. This machine is only a small amount bigger than a regular 21 inch push lawnmower. The mower deck has a cutting width of just 28 inches which makes it suitable for gardens that are from 0.5 acres to about 2.5 acres in size. This mower has just one blade housed within the cutting deck. The blade can be lowered from a height of 4 inches above the ground to just 1.5 inches above the ground over 0.5 inch increments. The deck uses a suspended suspension so that it easily passes over bumps and lumps in the lawn as you are cutting it. The deck is raised and lower manually. It’s total width (when you take into account the plastic discharge deflector chute at the side) comes to 32 inches.
Powering the Snapper RER11.5/28 is a I/C motor designed and built by Briggs and Stratton. This engine is started using a pull cord recoil system. Power from the engine gets to the wheels by first passing through a gear box that offers the RER 11528 five speeds when traveling forwards and one for reversing. In fifth gear, the lawnmower can reach a top speed of (4.6 mph). It uses drum brakes to slow down.
When weighed, the Snapper RER11.5/28 tips the scales at 136.1 kg (324 lbs) which makes it one of the lightest ride on lawnmowers the team at Tractor Review have ever seen. Thanks to it’s light weight, the RER11.528 can use 1-to-1 quick response steering to control it. The Rear Engine Rider Series from Snapper is their most basic range of ride on lawnmowers. However if all you want is a machine that cuts you lawn, without all the bells and whistles, then this is it.
