John Deere 8335R
The John Deere 8335R is one of the biggest models in the 8R range. If you are looking for something smaller, then you may be interested in the John Deere 8285R or even the John Deere 8310R. All construction and assembly of the tractor takes place in the Waterloo plant which is based in Iowa. Like the rest of the tractors in the 8R line, the JD 8335R is powered by a PowerTech PSX engine that JD design and build themselves. Due to JD’s commitment to the environment, the engine has Tier IV, Stage IIIB emissions.
This engine powering the John Deere 8335R is diesel powered and produces 335 hp. The total size of the engine comes to 9 liters. The air intake into the engine is first cleaned by being passed through a dual stage air filter which removes dust and other particles which could potentially clog up the 6 cylinders. Starting the engine is easy thanks to 2, 12V batteries which provide 925 cold cranking amps. As with the other models in this series, there is a choice of transmission, either a JD PowerShift or a infinitely variable transmission. The hitch at the back of the JD 8335R is a 4N/3 type which has a maximum safe lifting capacity of 8301 kg (18,300 lbs). There is also an optional front hitch available for the tractor. This is a 3N/2 hitch that has a maximum safe lifting capacity of 5579 kg (12,300 lbs).
The John Deere 8335R sits on a 4×4 MFWD or ILS chassis. This gives it a total wheelbase of 3.05 m (120 inches) for the MFWD chassis and 3.02 m (119 inches) for the ILS chassis. The total weight of the MFWD model comes in at 12,346 kg (27,218 lbs), while the ILS model weighs 13,722 kg (30,252 lbs). Like the other models in the 8R range, the JD 8335R is compatible with a front end loader, the John Deere 843.
